Unique titles
Duplicate titles make it hard for Google to choose a snippet and often collapse similar URLs into one result.
Pass condition in our engine: This URL has a non-generic title. Site-wide uniqueness is verified in a full crawl.
1. Problem description
Pagination, product variants and tag archives frequently share one title template. On a single URL we can only catch empty or generic titles (“Home”, “Untitled”); a full report compares titles across the crawl.
2. Most common causes
- One Yoast/Rank Math template reused on every CPT.
- Filtered URLs do not interpolate the facet into the title.
- The default WordPress “Site name” title on every page.
3. How to fix it
- Include the unique entity (article name, product, city) in every title.
- Add page numbers to paginated titles if those URLs are indexable.
- Run a full SEO-GEO report to find duplicates across the site.
Test this check
We fetch only this URL (plus robots.txt / llms.txt at the domain root when the check needs them). We do not crawl the rest of the site like a full report.
Scoring rules for the full site crawl are documented in methodology. Want every category at once? Generate a free report.
