Product updates and release notes. New entries are added when we ship features or fixes.

Bot-challenge pages no longer produce a scored report

  • Sites behind a Cloudflare-style challenge or WAF curtain now finish with a cannot_analyze status instead of a fake low score.
  • Those sites are excluded from benchmark averages (including older reports that already had a WAF/challenge finding).

Performance audit branch (scoring v2.2)

  • New Performance pillar: Core Web Vitals (lab LCP/INP/CLS plus CrUX field data), Loading (TTFB, FCP, Speed Index, TBT), Delivery (compression, caching, HTTP/2/3, CDN) and Payload (images, render-blocking resources, third-party scripts, resource hints).
  • Combined score is now the average of SEO, GEO, WCAG, Security and Performance.
  • Report UI adds a Performance score card with category breakdown and dedicated recommendations in HTML and PDF.
  • HTML-only fallbacks still run when PageSpeed Insights is unavailable.
  • Methodology, check library, sample report and a product-update article document the new branch.

Security audit branch (scoring v2.1)

  • New Security pillar: Transport (HTTPS/HSTS/mixed content), Headers (CSP, X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options, Referrer-Policy, Permissions-Policy, CORS), Content (forms over HTTP, tabnabbing, iframe sandbox, Subresource Integrity, inline JS, secrets, outdated libraries) and Exposure (cookie flags, version disclosure, robots.txt sensitive paths, security.txt, exposed files).
  • Combined score is now the average of SEO, GEO, WCAG and Security.
  • Report UI adds a Security score card with category breakdown and dedicated recommendations.
  • Passive and static analysis only — no active penetration testing or payload injection.
  • Homepage, features, how-it-works, methodology, FAQ and sample report updated to cover security.

WCAG accessibility audit (scoring v2.0)

  • New WCAG pillar aligned with the POUR principles (Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, Robust).
  • Checks include alt text, lang attribute, landmarks, skip links, form labels, link purpose, heading hierarchy, duplicate IDs and table headers.
  • Combined score became the average of SEO, GEO and WCAG.
  • Report UI shows a third WCAG score card with a category breakdown and accessibility recommendations.

SEO & GEO score improvements

  • Added Person schema, sameAs links, and visible author section on /about.
  • Rewrote all six resource guides with full content, FAQ schema, references, and 2026 freshness signals.
  • Server-rendered report summaries on /result pages for crawlers; noindex on empty result slugs.
  • Updated llms.txt to match actual on-page audit scope (removed backlink claims).
  • GEO Benchmark 2026 page now shows live aggregate data from verified audits.
  • Sitemap: result pages use real lastModified dates and lower priority (0.5).

Quality and product updates

  • Newsletter API: POST /api/newsletter stores subscribers (ready for Resend/Mailchimp later).
  • Unit tests: Vitest for scoring-types, helpers, crawler, analyze-seo, analyze-geo, scoring-analyzer (43 tests).
  • URL validation in analyzer and API (400 for invalid URL).
  • ESLint: resolved all warnings across the codebase.
  • Changelog and roadmap entries updated; benchmark page copy refined.
