Quick answers

What is SEO-GEO?

SEO-GEO is a website scanner that analyzes your site for traditional search engines (SEO), AI systems (GEO — Generative Engine Optimization), accessibility (WCAG) and basic security. You enter a URL and receive four scores, issue lists, and recommendations for improving visibility in Google, Bing and AI answers (e.g. ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude), usability for everyone and safer configuration.

What is the difference between SEO and GEO?

SEO (Search Engine Optimization) focuses on how search engines like Google and Bing crawl, index, and rank your site. GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) focuses on how AI systems understand, trust, and cite your content in their answers. Both matter for visibility; we report on both in one audit.

Is the free report really free?

Yes. You can generate a free report for any URL without creating an account. We do not require a credit card. Re-run the audit anytime to track improvements — each run creates a new report on the public result page.

How long does an audit take?

Most audits finish in 1–3 minutes. Progress is shown on screen. Larger or slower sites may take a bit longer.

What do the SEO, GEO, WCAG and Security scores mean?

Each score is 0–100 with a letter grade (A–F). Higher is better. The SEO score reflects technical health and on-page optimization for search engines; the GEO score reflects how well your content is set up for AI systems to cite; the WCAG score reflects accessibility on static HTML; and the Security score reflects passive hardening checks (transport, headers, content and exposure). The combined score is the average of the four pillars. See our methodology page for details.

What does the security audit check, and is it safe to run?

The Security branch (from v2.1) is a passive, static audit. It inspects response headers, the returned HTML and a few read-only probes: transport (HTTPS, HTTP→HTTPS redirect, HSTS, mixed content), security headers (CSP, X-Frame-Options, X-Content-Type-Options, Referrer-Policy, Permissions-Policy, CORS), content issues (forms over HTTP, tabnabbing, missing Subresource Integrity, risky inline scripts) and exposure (cookie flags, server/version disclosure, security.txt, accidentally exposed files). It never injects payloads or runs active penetration testing, so it is safe to run on any site — but a good passive score is not a guarantee of security and is no substitute for a full penetration test.

Do you analyze backlinks or rankings?

No. Our audit is on-site only. We do not pull backlink data or search rankings. We focus on crawlability, content, technical setup, GEO signals, accessibility and passive security.

Can I use this for client work?

Yes. You can run audits and download PDF reports to share with clients. See use cases for agency and marketer scenarios.

How do I improve my GEO score?

Improve structure (clear headings, definitions, answer-style content), add E-E-A-T signals (author, dates, expertise), use Schema.org where relevant, and make content easy for AI to parse. Our report lists specific recommendations per issue.

How do I improve my Security score?

Serve the whole site over HTTPS and add an HSTS header, then add the core security headers (a Content-Security-Policy without unsafe-inline/unsafe-eval, X-Frame-Options or frame-ancestors, X-Content-Type-Options, Referrer-Policy and Permissions-Policy). Set Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite on cookies, avoid leaking server/framework versions, remove accidentally exposed files (e.g. .git, .env) and publish a security.txt. Each finding in the report includes a specific recommendation.

What is a free SEO audit and what do I get?

A free SEO audit here means you enter one URL and receive a full report with SEO, GEO, WCAG and Security scores (A–F and 0–100), a list of issues with severity and recommendations, and a downloadable PDF. No sign-up or credit card. Re-run the audit after changes to compare scores over time on the report history page.

Can I audit a competitor's website?

Yes. You can run our tool on any publicly reachable URL. Use it to compare your site's scores with a competitor's (run two reports) and see where you stand on technical SEO and GEO. We don't store or share audit targets.
