Person schema
Schema.org Person ties the byline to an entity Google and models can graph.
Pass condition in our engine: Person JSON-LD is present.
1. Problem description
A name in the sidebar is not the same as a Person node with url, jobTitle and sameAs. Without it, the author is just a string. Combine with Organization for publisher + writer.
2. Most common causes
- Article schema omits author.
- Author is a plain text field.
- Person JSON-LD is on the team page only, not on articles.
3. How to fix it
- Add Person (nested as Article.author or standalone) with name and url.
- Link sameAs to LinkedIn or a Wikipedia page if they exist.
- Keep the visible byline matching the schema name.
