A visible byline is a core E-E-A-T and GEO trust signal.

1. Problem description
Anonymous posts are harder to cite in YMYL and expert topics. We look for author/byline words, rel=author, or author-looking CSS. It is weighted critical in Authority. A full “about the author” box beats a hidden schema-only Person.
2. Most common causes
- Corporate blog with no byline by policy.
- The author is only in JSON-LD, not on the page.
- Guest posts stripped the bio in a redesign.
3. How to fix it
- Show the author’s name next to the date.
- Link to a profile page with credentials.
- Add rel=author or a clearly labelled byline.
