Organization schema

Organization (or LocalBusiness) identifies who publishes the site.

Pass condition in our engine: Organization, LocalBusiness, Corporation or NGO schema is present.

1. Problem description

Models need a publisher entity to attribute quotes. LocalBusiness, Corporation and NGO count. Missing organization schema is common on personal blogs and still worth adding as a WebSite/Organization pair.

2. Most common causes

  • Only Article schema on posts, nothing on the homepage.
  • The JSON-LD type is WebPage only.

3. How to fix it

  1. Add Organization with name, url, logo and sameAs.
  2. Set publisher on Article to that Organization.
  3. Use LocalBusiness if you have a real-world venue.
