Answer-first sections
Generative engines prefer sections whose first 40–60 words already answer the heading.
Pass condition in our engine: At least 50% of H2/H3 sections lead with a concise answer (when there are enough headings).
1. Problem description
Research on AI citations (heading-to-passage anchoring) shows models lift the paragraph immediately under an H2. Long anecdotes before the answer get skipped. We pass when at least half of H2/H3 sections start with a concise lead.
2. Most common causes
- Every section starts with background or a joke.
- Headings exist but the next node is an image gallery.
- One giant section instead of question-shaped H2s.
3. How to fix it
- Put a 40–60 word self-contained answer under each important H2.
- Then add nuance, examples and caveats.
- Rewrite “Introduction” headings into the actual user question.
